Who is Cari?

I'm Cari. I'm from a barely-there mapdot in Nassau County, Florida. Yes, there is a Nassau County in Florida, too, not just New York.

I'm a wife and mom making my way through life, trying to make a world for my children that is as good as the one I grew up in.

I'm a daughter, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.

I'm a Florida native. We're rare but there are a few of us around.

I'm a Proper Southern Girl but not a debutante southern belle who gets the vapors at the mere thought of manual labor. Getting a pedicure makes me feel like a girly-girl but I prefer beer & hanging with the boys.

I write for the same reason I bake: to keep from stabbing someone.

Bliss is a meday with a bottomless pot of coffee, my laptop, my jammies and utter silence.

Weird fact about me: I don't like showers, only baths.
